On March 14, 2024, provisions regulating the confiscation of a vehicle for driving while intoxicated will enter into force
state after drinking alcohol – this state affects a person whose blood contains from 0.2 to 0.5 per mille of alcohol
intoxicated state – a person whose blood contains more than 0.5 per mille of alcohol is in such a state
if it was between 0.2 and 0.5 per mille, then he will be banned from getting behind the wheel for a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 3 years. The penalty is much more severe if the measuring devices show more than 0.5 per mille.

Importantly for the transport industry, the new rules take into account the situation where a drunk driver was driving a company vehicle, such as a truck. In such cases, the vehicle will not be impounded
